USA Swimming
Competitive clubs who are not part of the YMCA network are typically members of the USA organization. BCY also participates in USA swimming. Membership is optional and requires additional fees. Parents should check with coaches for recommendations regarding joining. A membership is good for one year. YMCA meets take first priority over USA meets. Coaches will choose the USA meets that BCY will attend. Swimmers choose their own events from the posted meet list. Meets will be posted on the bulletin boards. Entries and fees are expected by due date and time with no late exceptions. Swimmers may not attend USA meets without coaching staff. USA swimming offers opportunities for swimmers to swim in their own age category with swimmers of similar ability according to set time standards. These standards are known as A/B/C times.
