PAC (Parent's Aquatic Committee)
The success of the swim team and the swim season is dependent on the PAC organization. According to the long tradition of swim teams, the PAC provides the support that enables the Brandywine YMCA swim team to function within the realm of the YMCA, USA, PennDel League, and the Brandywine Leagues. The PAC administration arranges the parent support to run and man each YMCA event; they provide snack donations, work the swim team events, and coordinate the annual banquet.
Purpose:
The PAC is a support and fund raising group whose function is to assist the head coach and director by enhancing the overall programs.
Goal:
Involve all parents in making the swim team a positive experience for all swimmers.
Appointment and Composition:
- The YMCA's Aquatic Director sanctions the PAC annually.
- The Co-Leaders will be selected by the members of the PAC and may serve as a member of the YMCA Program Committee.
- The PAC will be composed of the head coach, parents, and Aquatic Director level staff.
- The Aquatic Director shall be an official member of the PAC.
